An unfortunate pre-season injury did that cause few favours, and Amad has been unable to earn a regular role since returning to fitness. He has taken in just three substitute appearances for the Red Devils this season.
WHAT AMAD SAID
Amad was linked with a move elsewhere in the winter transfer window and continues to see questions asked of his future after removing United credits from social media. He has explained that decision by saying: “I deactivated my social media for a month just to focus on Ramadan, it’s a holy month for me and social media is a place where there are bad things to see during fasting. Stop the hatred, there’s nothing wrong with what I did.”
WHAT NEXT FOR AMAD?
Amad last appeared for United in their narrow 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup fifth round and could figure in that competition again when the Red Devils play host to arch-rivals Liverpool in the quarter-finals on Sunday.
