Traditionally In the Premier League, most matches get a 3pm kick-off, although some of them are shifted to a different slot to be broadcast on television. In the UK, Premier League matches are not allowed to be broadcast between 2:45pm and 5:15pm. According to the Daily Mail, since Sky Sports wanted to telecast the Blues' clash live, the match was shifted to 8pm. Another available time slot was 5:30pm, however, Sky Sports had already planned to broadcast the Aston Villa vs Everton clash at that time.
